Alain Bouhey :

After a master's thesis in modern literature on « Tragic Aspects of Eugene Ionesco », and six years spent working with Senegalese musicians, followed by a long period of musical collaboration with the composer-improvisator, Yochk'o Seffer, Alain Bouhey has developed the concept of « Scriptoral creation », the result of constant reflection on the relationship of energy and matter.
Through music, literature, painting and video creations, this player-saxophonist has brought to light the relationship of mutual dependence of the traditional composer-player model, and that of the revolutionary improvisator, which breaks with that same tradition. His artistic reconciliation of the two, overturns the pyramid of creative power. « The Seventeen Seasons » give a spectacular account of this process.
